hands on. LOL. Just kidding, Biology is one of those subjects that you just have to do a lot of memorization for.
you can do many different things , use index cards for definitions , do a little at a time by studying 45 minutes and taking a short break , find a biology for dummies book that has different explainations if you do not understand something , you are going to have to take the time and brains to study there is no easy way out
the easiest is memorize and just read.,.,,
biology is all memorising... try to remmber the key points and try to think about it in an everyday life sort of thing... you can also try drawing out diagrams or using different coloured highlighters to make ur notes/book interesting enough to study...
in the case of my friend, in order to help her understand how blood flows in the body, we drew out diagrams... we actually used different coloured pens to represent the body parts, and oxygenated blood n deoxygenated blood. its easier to understand and remember things that way...
but ofcourse, the easiest way to remember something, is to understand it...
