Make sure you're getting enough sleep at night and drink tons of water. While studying, I find it best to put a cold washcloth over my eyes, stand up and stretch a bit, and stop each hour for a few minutes to refresh myself. It helps me retain what I've read much better than just sitting there drilling info into my head for hours. I totally feel your pain on this, good luck!!
Every time u feel drowsy go and splash some chilled water on ur face... hope it works.
endo rush, but in my state you have to be 18 to buy it, or monsters/ red bull can work too
when you think you are starting to get sleppy. go put an ice cube down you shirt.
or suddenly put in earphones with blaring music coming out of them.
OR tape your eye lids open.
It's called willpower...get some
make sure the room you are working in is not too dark or too bright as this may trigger ure sleepy reaction :)
I know this might sound wierd but give working out a shot. I used to have no energy but after I started working out i found I had alot more energy. If that doesnt work energy drinks'll get you what you want..
the one and only MONSTER. Some say Red Bull, but they have not experienced Monster. Caffeine is aiiight but it gets you too wired and your body still stays tired. Ummmm taking quick breaks. But keep in mind, you DO need sleep in order to retain all the information you study, otherwise it's a waste and you should just sleep anyway cuz you will forget if you don't sleep at all.
If I were you I would record the teacher and listen to the tapes at night, then wake up super early and study. That's what I do most of the time. For me it is easier to wake up early and study then to study before going to sleep. I did this all last semester before a test and well I made all A's, then again I'm a girl genious. Good luck.
I suggest that you give yourself a break by going to sleep in between your job and your studies. That'll keep you refreshed.
Also, once you've had enough sleep, you'll be able to concentrate more on your books. I tried staying up at night but started feeling sleepy at my desk and thus couldn't do any one thing properly.
You need to give something up before you work yourself too hard. If you keep this up you could end up completely burned out like most students. Don't let that happen, work less or study less.
It's never a good idea to sacrifice your health for your education it would be futile. Let yourself rest and study as much as you can while you are awake. Stay away from the caffeine, try herbal energy supplements or the 5 hour shot if some convenience store sells them.
Im sure you won't take any advice that's against your studying but all your work will be worthless if you have a breakdown.
Well, i stayed awake by chugging coffee (about 3-4 cups of it in 5 minutes) and eating pure sugar to help me stay awake. I also use energy drinks liike red bull or monster, but those drinks keep you on a high for a few moments then send you crashing to the floor.
You can start reading your notes or study your lessons at 6 pm after drinking a glass of milk with milo and sugar. Do not take your supper first so that you will be full awake. When you are full after supper it is very difficult to remember and to memorize. When you study verbalize your notes or have a sound like reading so that it will register easily into your memory. Avoid any distraction, worry or anxiety, etc. but be your real self. Maybe you can play a soft music which will remind you something especially when you are memorizing. When you start to yawn immediately take your supper maybe by this time it is already almost 10 pm. Don't eat plenty just enough because it is night. After your supper relax for about 10 minutes and resume your studies. Before 12 midnight, maybe at 11.30 pm. you must be already at your bed for your sleep. Do not go beyond 12 midnight because by this time your mind is already tired. Don't think of other things except to sleep. Always preceed your studies with a prayer to the Holy Spirit for enlightenment and guidance. Study everyday until it becomes a habit, in this way you'll be a wonderful student. Good luck!
