they don't...when your younger they do. When you get old (as in elderly) , you sleep alot, spend time watching the news and going about your business, the days just wash away when you don't have a real purpose anymore, you've seen it, done it. There is nothing left but to live and enjoy the rest of your life. But when you are young, you don't care about the days...thats why they go by so fast.
Because you have more things to do and you forget about the time since you're so occupied so the day seems to go by quicker.
Probably although the time scale is the same the relative difference between time served (age) and time passing changes. Just think that when you are 3 a year is one third of your present age, but when you are 60 a year is only one sixtieth a much smaller proportion.
