It depends where you live. For me they Definitely have to lighten up a bit. I was suspended for three days for wearing one skull shirt. T.T
I am a high school senior this year. i say go for uniforms. there r people that can get around the dress code. our high school we have to wear belts so that stops the pants around the knees
I would prefer the uniforms since then i don't have to think about what I'm going to wear tomorrow.
Well i wear miniskirts so no! i think we should wear what we want within reason.
I believe that uniforms are a wonderful idea for all schools. Statistics show that students who wear uniforms are more likely to pay attention in class and earn better grades. The discipline issues also slow down when children are put in uniforms.
Our school system is awful right now, uniforms certainly couldn't hurt!
And on a personal note, it would make it a lot easier for kids in school because their clothes would not place them automatically into one group or another, which would make socializing much easier.
You're in school to get an education, not show off your latest designer threads. As a minor, the adults CAN tell you what you can and cannot wear. It sucks, but you know, even I have to adhere to a dress code at the office.
I think uniforms are a bit stifling but I can agree a strict dress code is necessary. No one needs to be running around with pants to their knees, cleavage showing, no tank tops, no short skirts, no bellies showing. None of that. As I said, you're there to learn, not show off.
This is America, our freedom is our greatest strength and lately our integrity has been improving, I say enforce the dress code and keep stricter punishments, try giving the slutty girls some embarassment if they come to school with too short skirts, same with the boys, I do not wanna see us wearing uniforms, we have the freedom of expression(im not sure if Im using this right) but we have the right to express ourselves unless it hurts the common good, which is distracting students from education, we're not a freaking communist China, NO UNIFORMS, private schools can make their own decisions but not for public schools.
I think our country needs to learn how to control our people without forcing them.
sry if ur not from us, I just assumed from the kids ur describing
I went to public school K-10, and then my 11th & 12th grade I went to a private school.
Public school I never had to wear a uniform. Private school, I did. Honestly, it wasn't that bad. You can still express your fashion with different jewelry, nail polish, accessories, etc..
And really, it changed the focus on the "cliques" to personality, not the way people dressed... it taught the students how to express themselves in other ways besides just their clothing.
It also made getting ready for school a breeze; everything matched!
I am in favor of school uniforms. When I had to start wearing them, I dreaded it, but the idea quickly grew on me and I decided the uniforms were fine within a couple of weeks.
I am 11 i have been homeschooled half my life.
The other half, school.
I personaly HATE uniforms.
But i think if you have to wear them jazz them up.
Put cool paches on your skirt. Wear makeup dress your hair cool and etc. But try not to show that ugly uniform cause that non faishionable uniform STINKS.
i am also 14 and im going to a school with uniforms so i think it is better to wear uniforms because it makes it easier to get dressed in the morning and people dont have to worry about getting judge on what they were say if u wore something really nice and someone wore somethign kinda poor looking well people would make fun of that person cause s/he has old holey stinky clothes
im just saying it makes it easier to wear uniforms cause everyone looks the same and theres nothing to worry about.
I wouldnt mind or care about either
the thing thats annyoing though is at my school
a teacher see's something they find inapropreat or offensive
and then they are like that breaking the dress code and i was like where doesnt it say "blajdksndjs"(like what she said the rule was breaking)
and then i would get in trouble insabordiantion.
so if they do come up with a diffrent dress code as long as they write the dress code down for everyone to see like in agenda's or on the poster on the walls
