Mostly it is because they dont want to have kids wearing revealing clothing, clothing related to gangs ect. etc. Having a school uniform will help stop that because they can control kids' apparel and notice things fast because they all SHOULD look the same in the clothing they are given.
most schools have uniform regs. because the students won't follow the dress code .. sagging , lewd or pornographic t-shirts, *** hanging out, belly showing , no bra and other types of rad dressing..

Hey you little whipper snapper! Back in my day you were lucky to even have clothes to wear to school. I had to wear a potato sack and my mothers bra.
The school uniforms is a great idea. Society today is all about the way a person looks. You have some kids who dress very nice, thanks to their parents being able to afford to buy their kids nice clothes. Then you have the kids who wear hand me downs and inexpensive clothes, because their parents cannot afford to buy them nicer clothes or keep their child in the latest trend. A child is put in a certain category when he/she wears nice clothes. They usually have more friends, get alot of attention and sometimes people or jealous of them. Overall they don't have as many problems. On the other hand, the child that dresses poorly, gets picked at, has lesser friends and sometimes get bullied.
The uniforms put all kids in one category and that is great. There are so many after school events that a child can dress the way they want to dress and the kids have something to look forward to on the weekend and that is dressing the way they want without an hassle.
You think uniforms are ghetto? Uh, last time I checked, the homies with their nasty pants hanging down off their stinky underoos that was ghetto. Uniforms allow for UNIFORMITY. Would have been nice when I went to school. you won't break down the clicks with students but it sure HELPS keep the crap out.
