Unfortunately, these have tended to become blurred and often overlap in many companys today. The most advanced companies have begun to recognize that in the main maximum employee productivity is achieved if the employee perceives himself an important part of the whole process, and that the company wants him to achieve his personal goals (whether true or not, perception is everything). In any case, the "Peter Principle" still rules.
