practice writing clearly and taking your time. Don't be in such a hurry while writing it will look less sloppy.
take your time when writing - slow down. Bad writing is usually because people are trying to write too fast.

Just force yourself to write a little slower and take more time to make it look neat. Over time, it will look better and better. My handwriting used to not be the best, but I forced myself to write with care, and it really got a lot better.
Just start from scratch. Get one of those books that teaches children how to form and write the letters of the alphabet. Try and copy that as closely as possible and in no time you'll be a living typewriter.
maybe you could try to write basic, like this computer font. then when you get comfortable with this, you can try to do your own thing. the key is to master one step at a time.
Find a base handwriting and mimic it. Freshman year my French teacher said my handwriting looked very Cyrillic so I practiced until it looked very neat and straight.. It isn't that hard to do, it just takes a little dedication.
