I agree that most don't take the time to type properly and use the spell checker. I also believe that many people have great difficulties in expressing themselves. Not only that but many have no idea how to spell correctly. They may know the word is wrong but they have no idea what is wrong with it - they just know it is not correct. Finally I would like to add that using computers with e-mail and instant messaging many have forgotten that 4 is f o r (use to many shortcuts).
I have noticed over the last couple of years that the use of the English language is getting worse.
One last thing - do remember that not everyone has English as their mother tongue for some it is a second and third language so there will be errors.

Because I guess they just assume that the people reading the question will know what they mean, so they just click post and there you go. Besides it's not like they are being graded.

ha ha nice question...they're just too bored to click on the "check spelling" button..
It would be a good survey question. My opinion is that they don't know any better.

Okay sorry, I just couldn't help myself (or resist).
I have noticed that people spell the way they talk and very frankly if spelling (not to mention writing) was never your strong suite in school..wellllllll
Just roll your eyes, mentally shake yourself and get over it.

Think of it this way... if you take 4 people from the US (1 from each area) of say New York, Florida, South Dakota and California. Put them all in the same room, and ask them to speak properly IN ENGLISH, you will get 4 different versions with each one announcing that THEY are right and the others are wrong. If you want REAL frustration try that same trick with an American, Austrailian, Great Britian, Scottish, and Irish (careful I smell WW3 brewing)
