Answers:
Class rank is determined by calculating a student’s course-weighed grade point average over an extended 4.0 scale. Rank is calculated by first converting a final grade to the 4.0 scale, then weighting it depending on what level each course taken is at. That average is then multiplied by the number of credits a student earned and then divided by the total number of possible credits for the course. This result is the students’ weighted GPA. This process is repeated for each class and then the sum of all class GPAs are averaged to result in an overall GPA. It is possible to get over a 4.0 GPA once weighting of the student's final grade has occurred.[
Well, to find your class %, you need to know your rank and how many students there are in your class (not the whole school). For example, at Imaginary High School, there is a total of 500 seniors. An imaginary kid is ranked 23 out of the 500 seniors. Because 23/500 is around 4.6%, the imaginary kid is in the top 5% of his class. However, I know that some schools do not rank. You should check with your school to see if they have a ranking system.

Hope that helped
