Breech of confidentiality would be telling or letting a person gain information about a child that was not theirs or of which they did not have legal custody or parental rights. It could be something as simple as a person finding out another child does not know all the letters of the alphabet or can't seem to be potty-trained. This does not only pertain to another parent. Technically, even telling another teacher something you know about a child would be breach of confidentiality if that teacher had no need to know; ie. gossip. Example: As a director you might need to know a child was HIV positive, however, the law will say the teachers do not have a need to know. They should follow proper sanitary procedures and therefore have no need to know something that personal.
