co-op(erative) the parents run it jointly and have to do some of the work.
that chicken coop in daddy day care where the lady says, "we keep the children in here!"
CO-OP is a homeschooling program where you go to a place and be with other children/parents and LEARN
I think co ops can be many things. For example, the one my daughter and I go to is for mommas and kids (parents have to stay). The mommas help out the teacher with childcare, art projects, etc. The school is much cheaper than regular preschool. Both my daughter and I really love it! And it's run through a public school.
