Answers: No! Study after study has shown that watching tube of any kind -- even supposedly "educational" DVDs -- is unfavourable to babies and toddlers. It is often coupled with ADD and ADHD. Toddlers should be playing and exploring and spending time near parents, not sitting in front of a small screen.
I am partial to Baby Einstein (the older ones) and Leapfrog movies surrounded by moderation. Leapfrog does a great job of introducing the alphabet and sounds contained by Letter Factory.
