My parents are telling me to go to a science school away from home?

Question:they ALWAYS put so much pressure on me! i mean, it has worked, without their support i could not be the smartest kid in class , stright a's, honor rolls, its all thx to them. but im going into the 7th grade this year and next year (8th grade)is when we have to fill out admission for high schools. there are three high schools near our town, but my dad wants me to admit into this school called bronx school of science or this other one called ,, well idk. but they're in new york and only smart kids get into it.
im probably eligible, but i dont want to leave my friends who i have been learning with all my life. i only have one other friend applying for this but that doesnt count bc she lives in NY, all her friends would kill to get in that, and she can still see her friends because she wont be living in the dorms. its sort of a private school i think,,.. and besides, she is one grade ahead of me. i dont even know if shes been accepted.
what should i do? i dont want to dispaoint anyone

as you said because of your parents pressure you have done great in the past...your parents will alwayz think whats best for you maybe you should apply to that school.so what if it is far from your home ,,you can visit them in holidays and all.dont worry about friends and all..i am pretty sure you will make alot of friends in the new school and you are a bright student you will get alot of attention and friendships there..try it out
