Tour your school the week before classes begin. It's no big deal. You'll have so many minutes to get from one class to another. Just determine if you have time to go to your locker before your next class, or if you should carry folders/notebooks for 2-3 classes with you at one time. Find some out of the way table to eat lunch at, until you can determine where the 'groups' sit. Try to make a lunch friend, or two. Relax! It will work out fine. More serious students usually sit towards the front of the classes. It's best to sit in the 2nd or third row, to avoid having to help the teacher with crap like handing out papers, turning lights on and off, closing the door, etc.
As long as you don't act like that kid that won the spelling bee, you will be fine.
well i sugust to make friends by joining clubs or teams
you'll be fine
high school really isnt like they make it out to be in the movies.
when you start you'll see there was nothing to worry about
You need to work on your grammar. Other than that, just be normal.
First off learn to spell that will help
just go with the flow... people will thing it is cool that you have been in homeschool because it is so different. it is a great conversation opener. you are just like all of them. don't approach people to introduce yourself if the people don't look interested in being your friend, but people that are smiling and having a good time will most likely be the most inviting.
good luck!
Don't worry- you'll be fine!

Talk to your school guidance councilor. He or she will help you get acclimated to the new environment. You will be surrounded by hundreds of other kids who know exactly what to do- so watch them. You'll pick it all up in no time!

Good Luck!
I was home schooled for 6 years before going to high school as a freshman. Forget what you have seen in movies because they are all B.S. I have severe social anxiety and I was able to get through it just fine. Just be friendly and you'll make plenty of friends. After that everything becomes routine. Maybe you can go to freshman orientation just to get acquainted with everything...
Don't let anyone rub off on you, be unique.
I was homeschooled until 4th grade. So I was in this same situation, but awhile back seeing as I'm going into 11th grade.

You'll do fine. Like somebody said join some clubs/teams, it'll help you meet people. Also, school isn't really like they show it in movies (eg cheerleaders don't attack other girls and football players don't put people into lockers). Alot of teachers are usually pretty nice and you'll find some nice students there. Just work on doing homework, studying and all that jazz and eventually friends were come your way.

Oh and the bells are different in each school. In my school we get a bell meaning that class has started and you have to be in class by then. Then at the end of class you have a bell letting you out of class and another bell when you should be in your next class. For gym we have a 10 minute warning bell telling us we can change in the locker rooms. I hope I'm making some sense, but it's different in all schools. You'll probably get used to it in a few weeks.

When kids switch from elemantry to middle school or middle school to highschool they usually have to get used to a new bell schedule and stuff. Plus there will be millions of other students there so just follow their lead.
I just graduated from high school, so I kinda know how you are feeling. One key way to make yourself feel better is to join classes that you know you will enjoy. In these classes, you will more likely than not find people who share the same interests as you and may become your friends. Not only are finding the right classes important, but joining some afterschool activities are pretty fun too. Whatever your interests are, there should be some club to accomodate it. If not, then just start your own. How they portray high school on TV is not always correct, so don't be too afraid when you get there. Oh yeah, and the bell thing is very easy. In my school, the bell would ring once to say that class was over, so you would just walk out, then it would ring about 3 mins later as a late bell. The only thing that I can say would be a bit confusing is getting used to your schedule in the beginning and finding all of your class rooms, but even that gets easy after a while. Hopefully this helped you a little, and just have fun :)
