school. I am attending a expensive private school this far, and hae taken out 14,000 inloans already. I still have 3 years left. I am nervous if I fail out my life will be ruined. I want it but sometimes I dont have a lot of confidence, and this is my worst enemy. I hear stories about people failing out. Any R.N.s advise for someone who was always an average student not great at math.

To be blunt, you are going into it with the wrong attitude. Honestly, though it may seem cliche, it has been proven true, that the mind is a powerful thing. If you go into school thinking you will flunk out, there is a greater possibility of it actually happening. You really do need to build up your confidence, because as you have already seen through your undergrad, sometimes we just dont get the grades we want, but we persevere because we have a goal. If you really truely want to an RN let that be a driving force for you to stay motivated and continue to work hard no matter what obstacles you face. It really is up to u! I myself am an average student applying to medical school, I have had some classes that have really pounded me down, and brought my confidence level down. I also noticed it affected my other classes, once I began to make changes it got better. I got help from other students and professors when I didnt understand something. I am sure you will find some awesome students who can help you with math.
There must be a reason you are going into nursing, just keep that motivation, and you will do fine, as long as you also stay optimistic, even through the roughest times!

my mom just finished nursing school. She was nervous too but she passed she wasnt good at math and she also is an averge student. Just be positive and im sure everything will be fine!
