They are not doing this at the schools here, which I know is your question, but I heard of a great thing that some schools do:
On the playground there is a "Friend Stop." If someone does not have anyone to play with, he goes and stands at the "Friend Stop." It is assumed that if anyone is standing there, the other children go and invite him to play with them. Isn't that an excellent way to help increase self-esteem and and a sense of belonging in children?
Good Teachers!
Classes that you're interested in...not some stupid class that exists only to prepare you for standardized testing.
Its your source of friends and education.

I think that good principals and strict teachers make a school great. When I was in Elementary school, it was great, the teachers helped and no one hardly got in to trouble. As soon as I hit middle school, the kids were wild and out of control, and the pricipal didn't care. But I remember this one teacher, he was strict but nice and the kids that were bad, were always good in his class. Now I am in homeschooling, and it is much better
my school was bad ***. no one cared about ditching. and people RARELY actually got into trouble for anything else... fighting, drugs, alcochol. it was basically the best school ever... we live in a small town and everyone knows everyone pretty much. its just a really awesome place!
The teachers and staff and the students make the school a wonderful place, and a nice and safe environment.
WHat makes a school great is three thing one is girls. If you have alot of hott girls school is so much better and fun. Second is the sports teams. SOmething else to go to besides party and if they are good there the best thing to do on a Friday night. And last is teachers. If you have fun and easy teachers school is somethign that you look forward to go to.
