That's because unless its Winter there is no reason to wear a scarf. If your muslim then I could almost respect you for wearing a full burka, but to only wear a scarf is quite frankly a cop out. Either you believe in the nutty religion of islam and go the whole nine yards or you accept that the religion is nutty and ignore it completely. But to simply wear a scarf is like trying to be half pregnant. You are or you aren't.
So cover completely or not at all. There is no inbetween.

r u muslim, well guess what if u are i am too, and im going into 7th grade, i go to a public school and in the islamic religion you have to wear a scarf, since ur going to a new school its wont be as embarrasing, but theres nothing to be embarrased about, trust me no one will make fun of you, well at my school many girls wear scarfs only the imature kids make fun of them but dont worry no one listens to the immature kids. oh ya and at my school there are a lot of foreign students that dont no english well you wont gat made off, tell the teachers or councelers if you do. aw you shouldnt let them intimidate you, be proud of ur culture! and if they have a problem and it makes u uncomfortable you should talk to your parents about it and if they dont help learn to kick the other kids butts!
are you muslim? me too but im not religous or anything. i wasnt really raised to be ultra religous i dont wear a burka unless im going a to a religous function so i really respect you wearing a scarf even though you are so young...
you got to understand that kids will be kids and they will try to target anyone different from them. you may get picked on or you might not. if u do u just got to learn to keep your chin high and not let it get to u. in the long run you will be better of then they will. in my school we have foreign students occasionally and they dont speak perfect english and have a style different then us. we once had a muslim girl who wore a full burkha. although i heard some stupids tease her but for the most part no one bothered her. they treated her pretty nicely. if they do make fun of you stay on your ground! believe in yourself. you have loads of courage that none of the muslims in my school myself included have. not one of us covered our heads. for being so young u are more courageous and brave. dont give in!
Well if what the others are assuming is correct, that you are a Muslim, then there is nothing to be ashamed or worried about. There is a girl in my own public high school who wheres a burka to school and no one at school has ever, to my knowledge, said anything negative to her about it. She has friends and gets along well with others, so from what I've seen that shouldn't be a problem. We have kids that come here from other countries for a year or so knowing minimal English and I've never seen any of them be made fun of for it. If anyone gives you trouble on either account speak with a teacher, adult, guidance counselor, or principal and they will settle the issue for you. Best of luck
