okay, im talking roughly speaking the SSAT here, not the SAT. The SSAT is to get into a private lofty school or anything, taken by grades 8-11. I'm now surrounded by seventh grade, and i want to know if i can use a calculators on the math part of a set.

Yes you are, and they are markedly helpful. When you travel to the SAT make sure your battery work. The best calculators are the TI 84 or 85. These are really expensive however so see if any of your friends have one.
