I go back to school tomorrow, except this time it's high school. I am kinda nervous, what should I expect?

Question:The best and worst points of high school, and just little tips to help me out would be great! =)

Answers:
high school is what you make of it. Get involved and join a club or a team. Go to the school games with your friends and have a great time. Don't forget about your academics though pay attention, take notes, do homework, and study and you should be fine.

Expect to get lost, just about everyone does. Do not be afraid to ask people for directions, I've never seen an upperclassman give wrong directions. Also there will be teachers outside their doors to help you find your way.

And never give in to peer pressure. If you're not comfortable with something, then do not do it no matter what. People will respect your decision and won't bring it up again.

Best of luck
HS IS GRATE
Except there is a lot more drama and there miht be some rumers that go around about you or your freinds. Just dont worry about it youll have fun get in to sports or school activites. ull meet new ppl. Just be your self
im startin tomoro too. my frend gave me this tip. "if u see that thers a problem between two ppl, dont get involved because it will only start a drama." he said he didnt like his freshman year, and i dont kno wat to think.
i go back tuseday and it is my first day of high school to i kinda make my self realex and know nothing will go wrong
Just don't take drugs like the other kids tell you and you'll be fine. Any temptation you can resist will make you a stronger person.
hig school is really fun! at least mine is. just act like you know your way and don't be nervous. make sure you walk fast because your classes are usually far apart. and just have fun you'll get used to it! : )
HS was seriously the best time i have had since i started school! there are more people, everybody is nice. Before i started high school everybody told me that the teachers are mean and they dont give you any slack, but the truth is that the teachers are really nice, and they understand if you are having a bad day. Try to be your self and talk to everybody, four years will go by in a blink!!

GoOd LuCk!!
You will probably expect older kids being rude and outrageous, but once the school settles with the new class coming up you will grow to love High School. And you will get to do so much more! Its MUCH better then Middle/Jr. High and grade school. You will have some freedom and you will be looking forward to your Senior year.
I only had 2 years of High School so far, going in to 12th grade, and its the best school so far. I know your scared. I was too, but its the best so far and try to remember your other schools, So you can compare them with your new friends, because kids change when they go to different schools.
My tip is to relax,be yourself and have fun.
There was allot of drama in JR high and elem.People worried about what other people are wearing and doing...what have ya.But, high school was allot more laid back.Everyone is really focusing on their grades and credits, preparing for college or whatever. And then parties on the weekend.
HS isn't as tough and crazy as it sounds.I promise.TV over dramatizes it.But, it's great. If you play by the rules and do your work, even the teachers will talk to you like your an adult.
Good luck and don't be so worried about it.
Don't sweet it your most likely going to blend right in High school is School it like when you were going from Elementray to Middle School. I am going to be a Sophmore tomorrow so its has not been that long since i was a freshman. Some of your old friends will be there and you will surely make new ones. School work gets a bit harder you aren't babied anymore but when you get used to it its no sweat. Your getting older have more responsiblities. Greater Memories. No need to be nervous even though everone is first day freshman year. But soon it will just be a regular routine. And what you see about High school on T/V is dramatized to keep you intrestead. There will be some drama but not that bad and that often. I would suggest you stay focused on school work because highschool is the time colleges really care about. Especially 10th grade up they just glance at 9th grade grade. Also get involved in school activities and your on your way.
Well here is a couple of tips that I tell new freshman

Dont be afraid to ask teachers or students where your next class is because they'll probably not mind helping you find it

Just be yourself and dont try to be someone you're not because people can tell when you're faking it and they'll never take you seriously

One of the most important times of the day is lunch. Dont be afraid to sit with people you dont know and just be friendly

Just have fun and no matter how your day goes just try to make the best of it by taking everything in a positive additude

P.S. Remember everyone at your school has been a freshman before and most of the time they will be kind to you because they know how it feels to be a new freshman
HS is rele fun. just be yourself and dont get involved in drama. i will be a sophomore on sept. 5th, and there was a lot of drama at my skool last year. i lost one of my friends because of rele stupid drama, so dont get involved in it. other than that just have fun. focus on your grades and study b/c your classes will probably be a little harder. dont try to be someone ur not, because ppl will kno.
