I disagree with both methods of discipline.

girls are like more sensitive and stuff compared to us, don't complain, it'll make you sound gay
well you deserve it if you are naughty when i went to school and we girls were naughty we went to the head mistress and we had a cane, wet rubber slipper or sent to bed with no supper this was practiced at boarding school just except it and grow up and keep away from trouble.it is not discrimination its respect to behave and act you age.
I am not sure, but where you live that sounds unfair. Pupils should be reprihanded by detentions and trash pick up. You should report these inproper punsihments to ur parents. Or find a school where such punishments are of the past. Contact people older than you and seek help from them, or perhaps write an essay to your teachers and or principal on better ways of punishment. If that does not work a petition might just work. If all is futile, I am no sure whta you should do.
Seriously they hit you with rulers wow. I think they should treat boys and girls the same, and definetly NOT by hitting them.

Guys are expected to be a certain way and girls are expected to be a certain way. Both expectations are entirely stereotypical so the punishments are understandably the same way. Either way, spanking should be done by parents, not teachers, unless your parent is your teacher, in which case it should be done at home.
My opinion is that this punishment is very sexist.
I just hope when you grow up, you dnt raise your kids with discrimination. Learn from other's mistakes and your own pains and not to repeat them on your future.
To a girls, being made kneeldown is a discrimination, and they wont dare commit the same offence again. While, to a guy kneeling down is nothing to them and might not be a discrimination.
And guys can endure physical punishment more than girls.
The situation will very much depend who is the one punishing you, is the offence you made serious and repetitive. And whether the punishment will make you learn of the mistake. They don't just go around punishing students with no reasons.
When we were young, we were not that mature enough to know what is wrong and right. Therefore, only through pain we will learn. Its called hard love.
