One suggestion I have is what not to do. A lot of people put magnetic shelves and mirrors on the doors of their lockers and while that's great if you slam the door too hard everything will fall. Or if you go anywhere like my old school, there were always a bunch of mean idiots who would run down the hall slamming lockers purposely knocking off shelves and other magnetics stuck on the door.
I think you should use the topmost shelf for textbooks. Instead of stacking one book on top of the other, stand them up straight. It's easier to get to them that way. Use the second shelf for your binders. You can lay those flat, one on top of the other because binders are easy to slide off each other since they slant. Put a little label on the side of the binder, so you know which class that binder is for. Since you have those big lockers, you can just leave your backpack there on the bottom and take what you need for your next class(es). As for decorations, put pics of you and your friends all over the place. Also, if you share a locker with a friend, you can write messages to her on colorful post it notes. Or you can write notes to yourself, like reminders. It's a great and fun way to add color to your locker. You can put a calender in your locker too. You can go to Target and buy a locker mirror. Personally, i didnt really spend too much time decorating my locker, since i was just going to get a new one next year.
