It's too late for tonight, but know this for tomorrow and the rest of your junior year. You need 9-10 hours of sleep a night at this time of your life. That sounds excessive, I know, but at your age, you're growing so fast, and your metabolism is like a ferret's. You need a lot of sleep! Too little sleep will leave you tired and too much will leave you not fully alert and awake.
Day 1 is not that important anyway since you will just meet new teachers and get the info on what will occur over the semester.
Enjoy the junior year as it is the best one...you will never be 17 again. Seniors have to worry too much about college applications or work if they are not going to get an education beyond HS.
8 to 10 hours does it for me...but then again i usually only get 6 because i have trouble falling asleep and i get up at 6:15
