I intend to use all that advice, but that is all the advice anyone is giving about freshman year. I'm smart and taking all the highest classes I can, (Geometry H, English H, Biology H) and my electives are theater, band, foods, and spanish 1.

1. Follow the direction of the crowds to get to your next class (for example, at my school, you always stay to the right). This helps so that you don't crash into anyone and you don't end up dropping everything and waiting to pick it up (after everyone has stepped on it...).
2. Don't procrastinate. I know I'm being hypocritical when I say it, but seriously, if you have something to do, just do it. Then you can spend what would be your "last-minutes" doing something you enjoy.
3. Don't be afraid to talk to teachers. They really can help you. And don't be afraid to correct them or suggest something, as long as you DO IT NICELY.
4. When you know where your locker is and which classes you have where, plan a way to carry books for about two classes at once. It's possible (but a pain) to carry more, so if you can figure it out now, go for it. Also, as a bonus, if a friend is willing to share a locker that's in a different part of the school (and perhaps you share yours too), this makes it easier to get books. Our school has two levels and because a friend was nice, I had a place for stuff upstairs and downstairs.
5. Don't be afraid to talk to new people. You might be surprised to learn something new about someone that you may have judged before.
6. Don't forget your gym clothes. Keep a spare set in your locker. The majority of people who fail P.E. did because of "unprepareds."
7. You'll have great days and terrible days, but try to always look on the bright side. It will pay off in the long run. Who wants to remember freshman year as a bad one?
8. Take pictures. You can remember (and laugh again at some) for years to come.
9. Go to freshman orientation if one is offered at your school. You'll get to see where things are and meet some of the main staff, as well as upperclassmen who may help with the orientation.

I would try to make up or find some good comebacks and one-liners, stuff that you can use against a bully that aren't mean, but will help you against them. They can be really useful in dealing with a jerk and are much better than resorting to violence. I try to use sayings that stump the bully and buy me walking-away time.
Get to know upperclassmen. There your ticket to popularity in the future.
i think that that is good, i am gonna be a freshman too. but our school has a lot of jerks who say stuff like "noone cares about your social life, don't try to be emo..noone cares, don't try to make friends with the people in older grades than you" i am like ummmmm wtf!!
don't ovewhelm yourself...if you're taking a bunch of honors classes, dont also go out for every sport or afterschool activity, or you'll have no time for what you need to do.
don't avoid upperclassmen...they usually think freshmen are immature, but if you show them you're not, theyre great friends to have by your side

Always know how many stories tall your school is. My school only has 2 floors. If I were to ask where the algebra classes were and someone said on the 4th floor I would know they were lying. Oh! And I know people are not waiting till there married.(If you know what I mean...) If a guy is not willing to wait, kick him to the curb.
