Well your thinking about it too much for starters. What you don't realize is a good portion of the other kids feel the same way. It's perfectly fine to feel nervous going into a new school, most people are nervous in different surroundings, but you also have to remember this feeling will go away within the 1st week of being there. So just walk through those halls on your 1st day with confidence like you've been there before and just take everything in and enjoy your next 4 years of school, pretty soon you'll be sitting pretty on top.

Hehe you sound like me when i went to high school. I too was in 8th grade and only 13. DON'T WORRY!! The best thing to do to calm your nerves is to remember that it's no big deal! Tons of people do it every year so it can't be that bad right? Besides you'll probably be with all your same friends and they can help you out. I'm sure some of them feel the same way too. The teacher and other students are usually really nice to new students too. Also another good way to calm your feelings is to talk to someone who's been through it at that same school so you can know what ot expect. A sibling, cousin, or older friends maybe? Anyway just remember that your not alone in your feelings, and HAVE FUN!

It's actually not all that unexpected to have nerves and fear associated with starting something new like high school. Being young for your grade can make it difficult, but just try and play it cool. Be friendly, stick with your current friends, and look to make new ones in classes, ect. Believe me, a lot of us have been exactly were you are - just wait until college (talk about nervous!)
It helps to talk with an older person about your feelings.
Can you talk to your Father or Mother or a relative who has already been through high school?
Here are some good questions I would ask you in person:
Are you nervous because you won't know anyone there?
Are you nervous because you're afraid the work will be to hard?
Are you nervous because you feel ugly or stupid?
Are you nervous because you're afraid nobody will want to be your friend?
Look at each question and go over your answers with yourself to find out what's really going on in your head.

i was a year younger than everyone in my grade as well, so i feel your pain! my freshmen year, i was worried to walk around a campus with like 18 year olds! but on my first day, i saw that the upper classmen juat stay with all the other upper classmen. so there was really no bullying the freshmen. you don't have to worry about anything. the teachers are soooooooo much less strict that in middle school/jr high. freshmen year is pretty easy and you will have a good year if you just stay confident!
Don't worry. i am going into High school too. I am kinda excited. You get to meet new people, join different clubs that weren't available before, you get to have FUN. You are still going to have work and homework and studying but it is like a new adventure! Don't be nervous. Just think about the positive things. lol
