When you go to high school, do you stand outside and wait for the bell to ring like middle school and elementary? Or do you go inside? Or what?
Answers:
we have a highly overcrowded middle/high school combo building, so what was done in our case was that 6th and 7th graders went to the middle school cafeteria, 8th graders went to the high school cafeteria, and the high schoolers just sat around the hallways until the bell rang. i have a feeling that it might not be like that in your high school, but you shouldn't worry. there will probably be either signs or staff members directing you. if not, just follow a group of freshman that you know didn't miss orientation. they should end up leading you to the right place. and then, if all else fails, just stop off in the office and check where the freshmen are to report. you'll be fine =]
Yea its prettymuch just like middleschool, you usually wait to go to class, unless your teacher/school doesnt care. Dont worry about it, after the first day you will have it down. Its really no big deal, my first day I was supposted to go to internet training class...which really is for the stupid people who dont know what a computer is or how to turn it on. I didnt go to it, you just get a paper from the office that is a permission slip for internet use, you sign it, your parent signs it, your good. The other thing i did was it took me about 20 min to figure out how to find my class. Other then that, there is nothing, you will get homework the first day, but its just the get your parents to sign this shiz stuff. Have fun at school! It goes by really fast after the first week, once you get into a routine
entering high school life is full of emotion(excitement,anxious...) but that's normal...
when i was at the same situation like yours i just searched for my name from the list of students posted outside each room then after finding it, i just entered the room and looked for a vacant seat..or if there are no other people inside the classroom just stay outside the room...
another tip:flash a smile at every people that will look at you..that will be a good start to earn friends...
if you really don't know what to do or where to go,j ust ask a teacher...
don't be too worried...just enjoy...and always do your best at whatever you do...
good luck
Every school is different about the whole "what to do first" thing. So when you go on the first day, go up to someone, even if you don't know them, and ask where the front office is. Then when you get to the office, ask the office ppl. They're sure to help you. At my school, your allowed in the building before school, but you might want to ask about that also. Good luck!
