Many students sick of high school make arguments similar to Phillips's. Do you agree with Phillips that hard

Question:work provides a sufficient education, or do you think success is more likely for those people who receive a traditional education?

Answers:
That depends what your definition of success is. If you want to be successful at a profession or trade then you obviously need to be educated to whatever the standard requirement is or above to be able to qualify. If you have a strong desire you will work hard towards achieving that. If you haven't, you won't. So it starts with a desire - it starts with the question "What do you want? - or "What do I want my life to look like?" That is where, in my opinion the education system falls down. The education system is not set up to churn out entrepreneurs. Whatever you desire though, at some stage the rubber needs to meet the road and you need to take action towards that goal and sorry there are no free lunches - work is required and usually it is working smart.
I believe the most important thing is that you pay attention to the daily things. It is the small things you do on a daily basis that will mold your future. To change any direction in life is just a matter of changing what you do on a daily basis. If you are poor, then it is what you are doing that will keep you there. If you are rich and growing in wealth, then it is what you have been doing on a daily basis that got you there. What you have is always a result of what you have done. Some will say - but you don't know my circumstances!! No I don't but YOU do! and that is why you are there. Anyone can change their circumstances with courage and determination. So without opening a can of worms on such a huge topic. Is education the key? No it is not. Attitude, desire and single minded focus on achieving your dream is. For a professional or tradesperson - yes education is important because there is a entry point set to be able to get the paper. Probably a bit off topic but I will be happy if just one person reads it and says "yes I can be successful even if I haven't had a good education!" Go for it!!
You need both these days just to prove you can work at burger king! Gone are the days of making it big without an education. Granted there are a few exceptions to the rule. Seriously, in the real world, get an education. It helps alot.
