Answers:
ok. i was a freshman last year. tips: its your chance to start over. you can be the rude kid who never does their homework and who is always in the principals office (i doubt you are that kind of kid though) or you can be the nice, respectful, kind-to-everyone kind of person. def be respectful to all teachers. if you don't know your way around the school very well, carry a map with you in your planner while changing classes. it really helps. SMILE! it makes the teachers like you right off the bat. ask questions. it shows that you are open to new ideas. think of high school as a middle school, only bigger and with more work. be ready to make new friendships. and don't worry. there will be people to guide you through your first week or so. GOOD LUCK! i know you'll love it!
I loved high school, get involved, and it will be some one the best years of your life. It will have its ups and it will have its downs, but overall it will be fun. You will make great friends, lost some friends, and then feel the exact same way your feeling now in 4 years, getting ready to enter college. I just graduated from high school and I miss it already. Just be yourself, study hard, and get involved. Sports, A.S.B, clubs are all great. Don't worry about it, everything will be fine!

I was in A.S.B so I know that it was great, I made so many new friends, and it looks great for college.

Sports, they help get you involved, and noticed, when your good enough.
just be cool about it. a lot of people are nervous when they first start going to HS. just relax and unless you moved all your friends will be there and are probably as nervous about it as you are.
what are you worried about? its just a different school, with new people. Just stick with your friends and to your schedule, dont be late to class. no gum and you're good to go. [=
Every freshman is terrified no matter what they tell you. Just know that upperclassman will not be mean to you and will pretty much ignore you. You most likely will get lost, just about everyone does (and its not just the freshman). During the first few days their will be teachers or staff in the halls and outside their doors to give you directions and help find you're room. Don't be embarrassed to ask them they're there to help. Also getting involved in a club or on a team will really make your year a lot more fun and help you make friends. Do not give in to peer pressure, never do something you aren't comfortable with to fit in. People will respect your decision. Make sure to do your homework, take notes, study, and go to class. Honestly, just enjoy freshman year, try not to stress to much over it. Best of luck, I'm sure you'll do fine
im now a sophmore in highschool, and i learned that in order to be successful you need to take your freshman year seriously, now that your in highschool your grades count towards college, i've heard some many stories of kids who did wery well in their sophmore, junior, and senior year, but didn't really take their freshman year seriously, and slacked off, and because of that their overall GPA really wasn't as high as i could have been, because their freshman year lowered it. so just make sure you do your assignments, and give your best effort, and don't be afraid to ask for help. Also make sure your taking challenging classes, even if you get a b in an honors class, when you could've gotten A in a regular class, colleges will acknowledge you for taking and honors class and challenging yourself instead of taking the easy A
all you can do is give it a try and it is such a great expierence to make new friends that u never thought you would b friends with, the one thing is u shouldnt b shy, dont b scared to strike up a conversation with the people that sit around you!! you make alot of new friends that way, plus it just makes things so much more fun!! High school really is one of the best expierences u will have IF u give it a try and just always remember "smile, it could b worst"!!
Okay I'm going to be a senior in high school and let me tell freshman year was super fun. I know it probably sounds cliche but trust me get invovled. it doesn't have to be a sport but it does help to get involved. it helps knowing because you get to know a lot of people. The first few weeks can be a little crazy but trust me it's fun. It's normal to feel some kind of anxiety. But don't dwell on it too long cause trust me high school goes by fast and you dont want to spend it being nervous.
i'm a senior and looking back i think the biggest difference between seniors and freshmen are that seniors are confident in themselves. so my advice it to be yourslef, and not try and change to someone you aren't.
