Answers:
Stay focused, don`t let yourself get sidelined by your peers going out all the time. I`m not saying don`t enjoy yourself, but don`t make it your main interest in life.
When you have completed your studies and have a well paid job, you can have all the fun you want.
Your 13, in another 8 or 9 years you will have finished uni and the world will be your oyster.
Believe me, I did the other and have regretted it.
By asking for this advice you are already on the right track, keep it up.
I wish you all the luck in the world.
Just don't drink, smoke, or run off with guys and girls. FOCUS means doing your work and not something frivolous.
Depend on yourself, not teachers.

I don't listen to teachers, yet stay with high marks. Grow independent and stay out of trouble.
well you know why you need to do your work.for that job.remind yourself of it everytime you wana mess about.if i dont do my work.who knows most likely working in netto at 16...usually works for me!
good luck with year 9 (sorry to tell you its when teachers usually get on your back!)
Keep a healthy balance. Work hard, keep up to date with homework etc, but take time out for yourself too. Don't get too stresed with your work or you'll lose heart and give up, give yourself a break when you need one instead, and work will not seem such a burden!
im about to start year 9 and i find it easy to concentrate in class
top tips:
dont talk to your friends
do the work slowly and methodically so you can finish it correctly
get textbooks about computers to help you see what you need to focus on
PRACTISE PRACTISE PRACTISE!
listen to your teacher
hope this helps sorry if it doesnt
find out exactly wot u need to do to achieve your goals. and focus on these. ifyou are doing stuff u like you wont b as easily distracted
Peer distractions is the problem be part of the group but observe don't participate in any activity's these people want to do some young people find it hard to cope with the pressure of school work and find it easier to hide the problems by acting the fool don't fall for it keep your head down and tell your self what you want to achieve and go for it remind yourself all the time hoe important you results are to you good luck young man for the future Dave (mentor)
Just try and pay attention to the teachers, and make sure you get your homework done. But don't completely stop having fun otherwise you'll get bored, and won't want to do any work anyway. You need to get the balance right between work and play! Lol! I'm sure you'll be fine, good luck xx
