i have to wear uniform and I'm in highschool!! Its so freakin unfair
Former Catholic school girl (now recovering, he he...)
My experience with uniforms as a middle schooler was that they didn't eliminate the issues they were meant to. Girls just defined each other by how expensive their shoes were instead of their entire outfits. (I had generic shoes so I suffered the same types of humiliation I would have with no uniform.) Plus it bred hyper-sensitivity to any violation. One day I wore a small neon anklet and was hauled into the principal's office, even though I was a straight-A nerd who never got into trouble. Back then girls weren't wearing revealing outfits like they do now so I could see where that would be a positive these days.but they don't solve every problem.
Yup, I went to a private religious high school and we had to wear the plaid pleated skirt (girls of course) button down shirt, vest and crosstie (!). It was ugly, but at least I didn't have to worry about what I was going to wear :)
no. i would hate 2 have 2wear a uniform 2 school!
I never did, but I hope that my children do. Since they are going to private school, they probably will.
Yes, I wore one all through grade school, for 8 years. It was fine. No competition among the kids about clothes. No worry what to wear everyday. My mother loved it,
because it saves money.
Im in a public school and we wear blazers shirts and ties
Yea, I wear a uniform because I go to a catholic school.
no i go to public school and we can wear anything but revealing or offensive clothing
I live in the UK, where the majority of schools have a compulsory uniform, so I wore one in both primary and secondary school.
