depends if your trying to read or speak. if your trying to speak, best is try to emmerse yourself with actual language speakers. remember that Spanish in Spain and Spanish in latin america is different, its best to speak with the group which you want to learn. also, try buying language tapes with a lot of basic conversation.
if your trying to read, i suggest also buying language tapes, but this time with emphasis on the grammar aspect. its easier to start learning to read if you have a grasp of basic grammar concept, before going to the actual written word.
good luck!
Watch lots of Univision and Telemundo.
learn vocabulary words fast. make a goal to learn maybe 5 each day (ones that you will need in everday conversation)and spanish will become easy.
draw a picture of the word/action in your mind
Well there is Spanish for dummies. I don't mean any insult by that it's just that a friend of mine said she bought the book and would go to the library and study it. Well she now is very fluent in Spanish...
meet a spanish hotty than only understand spanish :P
Immersion is always best.
Telemundo or Galavision are great to watch sometimes, or if music's more your thing, look for streaming internet radio sites that play free music. I started doing that a few years back and actually understand a lot of what I hear now. It gets you used to different accents from different countries. Plus it's kind of fun and exposes you to a new world.
Speak Spanish with other classmates if you're in a class, or if you know someone who is fluent, see if they'd be willing to try to have a conversation with you. The key to remembering is really repetition, so just doing it and roughing your way through it should get you to where you want to be.
anything with repetition
and you will do muy bien!
lol
Well I don't know if it's the best way, but I would go to the nearest library and look up books on English/Spanish so that you will know what you are saying. And when you go back to school, you will probably learn it in Spanish class.
