Question:Okay I signed up for a 6th grade program in a middle school and only 60 student get in.Luckily i was accepted.Yesterday we had orientation and I find out that one of our neighboring school are putting all their 6th graders in our middle school and is taking out 6th grade from their school. Many of my friends think its unfair because all of us went through a long process signing up.We had a to have high grades to get accepted and in summer school the teacher kept going on about how its a privilege to be in that school.Anyway,if its such a privilege, why would they just throw in more random kids who didn't even sign up and probably didn't even want to go?I had more friends in my old school who wanted to go and they weren't able to go because they weren't accepted.Do you think this is fair?I seriously think its not right!
Answers:
I totally agree with you. It's not fair to you, the other accepted students, and the students who were rejected. Why would a neighboring school just throw out a whole grade of kids out?
Sadly, there's nothing you can do. Although, you and the other 59 students can sign a petition and protest but I'm not sure how well that will turn out.
Hopefully, the 60 of you will get special privileges and recognition in your middle school.
Life isn't fair, hon. Get used to it. It's just the beginning.
