Ah freshman year. Stick to your friends, but also make new ones. Don't ask seniors for directions, there's a slight chance they won't point you in the right way. But just have fun! Because if you make yourself miserable, you'll be miserable til the day you graduate! Good luck!
Do not sleep the day before your first day ! By not sleeping the day before you got to school you will be so tiered that you will not care what others think of you. It is so important to make a first good impression. So 2 hours before you go in to school take a nice long shower and dress up nice. I can almost garantee this will work for you and forget about ppl telling you to be yourself as it is very hard to be yourrself when you are nervouse. By sleep depriving yourself you will enable your mind to work diferenty and in your favour for the first day of back to school ! This is a fail prood method of controling most of your worries. Good luck !
you just thtink about ur friends and an exciting adventure ur gonna be on!
It's completely natural to be nervous...just realize that you are not alone. Many of your classmates are also feeling that way. To help calm those feelings, maybe you can talk to a friend who will be starting school tomorrow too. Plan to meet a few minutes early and go in together. Also, be sure you have everything ready tonight...lay out your clothes, make your lunch, gather your supplies...even plan what you will have for breakfast. Being prepared always helps me feel better about whatever is coming! Get a good night's sleep, and have fun tomorrow! If nothing else, you'll get to see friends you haven't seen over the summer, and will probably get to meet some awesome new friends as well!
Do a countdown, like "One class down, seven more to go." Have positive thinking, like, "I can do this" or "It's just school." High school is very diffrent from the movies, At my high school we don't even have clinques! Make new friends. Get your mind off of it and go shopping or watch TV.
There really is nothing to worry about. Alot of soon-to-be freshman are on here asking the same thing as you, so you're not alone. If you're worried about not finding your classes or having a run-in with an upper classman, stick with a group of freshman or your friends. That will make it much easyer, trust me. I'm sure you wont get into any trouble with the older kids, as long as you don't come in there acting like you own the place, don't act like a snob, and just kinda keep to yourself and fellow classmates. That will help you have a better experiance, because on the first day you gotta stay on top to get to all your classes and all that. Don't be late for classes, teachers really don't like that. And don't worry about not getting the right classroom, because they are more than likely labeled so they will be easy to find. Just stick with your friends/classmates, stay cool, and have fun! Oh yea...don't let the older guys get to you. There are a lot of guys that may try to take advantage of you, so just ignore them. Good luck!
