YES!
I didn't take school seriously. All I cared about was partying and having fun. Now that I am in my 30's, I just think about how much better my financial situation would be had I taken school more seriously.
I know its not too late to go back to school, however, I have a family now. It's hard to take classes when you have a husband, children, and a full time job.
no
No... but then i worked hard the 1st time.
I worked hard at school and uni and am now getting the rewards...good job and excellent earnings.
Yes, but i am still where i want to be in life
I used to swim and run for my county when I was younger, but I was also pretty smart. My personlity was (apparently - this is what my mother told me) such that I would have needed to go to a private school as the one on one attention that I craved was never really given to me until late in high school.
While I really regret not working harder academically (my sports were great) to get a bursary (my parents couldn't afford it) to go to a private school, I learnt a lot about who I was. I only learnt how to study properly in university.
I probably could have done better, but I still got in to uni, still worked hard in uni (got a first) and have had pretty good jobs since.
Absolutely. But like most boys of my generation, we were seduced by the popularity of Sports at school. This is a Very British Thing - trying to be an all-rounder...
Yes - all the time. I had to go back to college and study in my spare time, years later. Much more difficult when you have a job and family too!
nah not at first cuz i was getting all the awards
until just recently i started slacking, now i regret it, i don't get the praises as much, which is horrible.
YES! I want to do a degree but I have to spend 2 years re-doing my GCSE'S and A Levels!
Sigh..wish I had knuckled down first time!
Kids take note!!
Yeah wish i had listened to the Parents
yeah i suppose i do as im 27 and still studying.
no, because i am off back in september :) so i must be doing something right.
Yup! But im doing pretty good now so I don't beat myself up about it too much!
i definitely regret not working harder because if i had i would definitely be in a good career instead of having to take crappy paid jobs. having to do all the hard work now by going to college as an adult student.
