I know a girl that is going there, her name is Kiany. She's really nice, so if you should come across her, you know, she'd be a great person to make friends with. I know being new can be hard, especially when everyone knows each other, but if you switch, you have to do it all over again, which is no fun. And it was only the first day. I switched school so many times when I was younger, and because I was really shy(and I mean really shy) it was so hard for me for like the first few weeks until someone took pity on the two girls that always sat together(I have a twin sister). So it will most likely get better. So I say stick it out. It can only get better
Dont worry, everyone feels the same on the first day at a new school. And, plus you have 4 years to make friends. If you are seriously unhappy after half of the year, you might consider transfering, but i dont suggest it because ND is a great school.
I say you stay. I know it may seem really hard at first, but there definitely are other people feeling the same way you are, especially at a big school like Notre Dame. Imagine if you transferred schools but it somehow ended up being worse. That would just suck. I say if you just stick out the first 2 weeks then you'll be fine - it'll be one of the hardest times. Try to have a friendly/approachable vibe by being smiley and not too quiet, and that should help you make some friends.
youll be fine i am really extremely shy and i have moved 7 times i thirteen years. its really hard making new friends at school but just be nice and be yourself. youll pull through.
it is normal to feel uncomfortable, Today was the first day.
There should be some way posted at the school for you to meet other freshman students.
How about your dorm? how is your room mate?
I really don't think you should make the decision to change schools after just one day. Is there not one person that you know on this campus??
