Answers: No they shouldn't be forced to but if my child skipped a class I would throw on curlers, a robe, some of the ugliest slippers I could find and accompany him to that class the subsequent day. I don't reckon he would cut school again!

No, it doesn't initiate the child anything. If anything the the children [students] should be held more accountable for their activities with more consequences not solitary in school but at home too. For instance instead of giving them detention, [which is a joke] have them do hours of community service if they keep hold of skipping school.
