year two they are around 6/7, when i was in year two we read books like "the magic Key" and watched this video about an old woman who went in a polka-dot plane to different places like the farm and stuff with her dog. i can't remember the name it was so long ago.

they are 6 to 7 years old and watch programmes on kids channels and read shorter books such as (this is a pretty old one) 'lizzie zipmouth' by jacqueline wilson and similar types (i mean in length etc. not subject)...try looking at the local library/bookshop or asking close friends
