Fundraising Ideas?

Question:Basically, I'm a prefect at my school and I'm in charge of raising thousands of pounds this year for my school. I need some really good ideas that would work with 11-16 year olds, that bring in a lot of money without having to do too much.

Can you help??!

Answers:
At my school, they sell raffle tickets for $1 each. On each Ticket they buy there is a coupon to like a restuarant attached it along with prizes they can win. Then we have a multi-cultural fair. And that is where they announce the raffle ticket winner.
With the Raffle tickets, the studentst that sell tickets also get their name entered into the drawing for students.

-Multicultural Fair
-Raffle Tickets
-Bake Sale
-Ice Cream Sale
-Candy Sale
-Sell Water If the cafeteria is not doing it or if you have no vendors.
-Movie Night
-You know how they have those pennies for patients? Well use the concept but for your school. If you dont know it. Basically you tell kids to ask parents for donations towards the school and the class collectign the most money wins a pizza party or any kind party.
cake sale
bring and buy
face painting
could make cards/charm braclets/necklaces and sell them
sponsered sports (have a game going all day and get pupils to find sponsers based on how long they will last!)
flower sale
bake sale
dance party
valentines day gifts to sell and give to parents
car wash

I hope this helps!
Raffles are not much work. Buy an item, sell tickets, draw a name, give the prize.
If it is a cool prize they will buy lots of tickets. Make the tickets pretty cheap. You will still end up making a lot of money off of cheap tickets because people will buy more tickets.

Good Luck!
bake sale. at my school, they ask a grade or a group or just anyone to volunteer and make treats to donate to the sale. i think it works well...its helped paid for field trips and bus fairs for sports meets.
I like the bake sale idea - but it is a really good idea if you individually wrap single serving size pieces to sell. Kids can buy 1or 2 cookies, brownies or rice krispie treats instead of buying a whole plateful. We sold them at lunchtime, and made over $ 100.00 the first day! A few people also brought individually packaged candy and that was the first to sell!

Good luck!
