Just got out of 10th - it was one of the best years of my life so far. I became a lot more the person I am and not the person my friends expected. This is opposed to my 9th grade year, which positively sucked - though i didn't think about it then.
Walk into the school the first day in an outfit you're comfortable in...whether it looks great or not... and act like you know exactly what you're doing as you go from class to class. Everyone else is too busy attempting the same to care anyway, and it's good psychology. Even if you have to conciously be like, "Okay... don't fall. Walk with a purpose. Now pretend like you /totally/ meant to go down this hallway instead of the other one." Think it enough and it'll keep the rest of your jitters down. Pretty sure that's exactly what I did.
Anyway, I had some great teachers (and not so great) but I did learn that highschool's a lot more than a zillion people running around like crazy chickens with their heads cut off (although a lot of times that is all it is...). Don't be afraid to do what you want to do. And make upperclassmen friends.
It was the same as grade 9. I just had a boring Social Studies teacher, but everything else was fine.
You know my 9th and 10th grades were pretty much a blur. I only remember my Senior year the most. I wouldn't worry too much. Yes it will be a little harder than 9th, but the nice thing is you will be used to the routines and how things work. Freshman year at the beginning is nerve wreaking.
for me tenth grade was better than ninth. it was not only more fun, but easier! i got to meet a lot more friends. i took 4-5 honors classes in both grades but in tenth i got soo much less homework cuz i guess the teachers are more lax.
im going into 11th and im scared to death about ap's, sat's etc! you still have one year to go, so live it up =p
advice: go to a lot of the school events to make hs more memorable and fun!

tenth grade was really fun i liked it a lot.. the only thing i regret is that i wasn't as outgoing as i would have liked to be. I don't think it was any harder than ninth grade. it was a really good year though. I'm going into 11th and i live in new york
Personally, I didn't enjoy it much. It's just the truth. But how much "fun" you will have or how "hard" it will be depends on what classes you take. I took a few advanced courses, the rest regular. It was more work, and less fun but pretty much the same as grade 9.
It was a long time ago - but i felt it wasn't any different to grade 9. Grade 11 things started to change a bit! I enjoyed school - but i think grades 9 -11 were the best.
It's pretty cool...of course I've only been in it for 2 days :p If you take geometry, it's way easyer than algebra, so that's something to look forward to.
I would personally say it was easier than 9th grade. Except math...but it always gets harder. 10th grade was a great year.
