gas exchange occurs in the lungs and is carried throughout the body by blood.
This is a real simple answer from simple me. One place they come into a big relation is in the lungs. Blood get oxygenated their. Their is a words like cardio respiratory and pulmonary aorta. I believe the right side of your heart may be the pulmonary side. So the left side pumps blood to the brain & body and the right side sends it through the lungs.
There's a condition called pulmonary edema and somehow the heart beat gets irregular and fluid starts gathering in the lungs.
The respiratory system provides oxygen to the blood. The circulatory system carries the oxygenated blood throughout the body, keeping cells (and you) alive and functioning well.
