Well considering their is still a chance you may have lunch with your cousin don't worry just yet, but it is good to have an idea of what to do just in case. My freshman year I ended up in a lunch with absolutely no one I knew, from that experience however terrifying it was I can tell you that you can make it work. First don't be afraid to ask to sit with a group of people that maybe you slightly recognize from a class, or maybe you just think you'll get along with. There is no one i know that will refuse to allow you to sit with them. Join some clubs or a sport team so that as the year goes on you will have more friends and more options, I would give you this advice even without the lunch issue. If all of that fails then I would say go to the library or see about getting your lunch switched to a better time, switching your lunch would require you to switch other things as well so it would be best to do that as soon as possible if that's what you decide. well...I just completed freshman year myself. I know you must be terrified...I know I was. But you wont have lunch the 1st period. You'll make a dozen friends by the time lunch comes...and one of them has got to be with you. I had half my friends in lunch with me. A girl (Kathleen) with a similar situation like yours had chorus with me 2 periods before lunch. We talked during chorus and at lunch she found me. Katie sat with us that day during lunch and she made friends with everyone on the table. You'll find someone...just don't be shy and interact with people. Best of Luck.
Well first of all don't skip lunch.You need food to get through the other half of the day so it's important that you eat. As for who to sit with...it's OK if you don't get to sit with your cousin, this is a great opportunity to meet new people.Sit with someone from your class and start a conversation.
