u should take wren and martin reliables self study hemrins book
the handmaids tail by Margaret Atwood - its filled with symbolism and you can cover tons of topics with it. Not to mention the fact that its brilliant!!
solve all previous years question papers and don't go for too many books or else u will end up getting confused.
u should have a set of icse books also wid u so as to get xtra infomation as these books have a wider syllbus than any other syllabus boooks

First of all if u have bio as a subject you cud read anita prasad's book on biology. then u cud practise sample papers of frank brothers and goyal publi. that should be sufficient. should u need further practise try solving the 10 yrs. papers without seeing the answers.read newspapers regularly to get a knowledge of the general topics that usually come in the exams.
1.Buy a book with previous years papers and sample papers and solve them all as 25%-50% of the questions are from those papers.
2.Subscribe to educational magazines where you can get a few difficult questions also.
3.Practice your textbook thoroughly.
4.Buy a well known guide for more questions.
