OK, that's just mean, and completely uncalled for. If you didn't do your homework, there is NO reason for her to announce it to the rest of the class. Talk about making someone feel really uncomfortable. You should tell your parents how embarrassed you were by the teacher's loud comments (and admit your mistake to them), and ask them to discuss with your teacher a more appropriate way to handle homework and classwork comments with you.
If that happened to one of my children, I would definitely be discussing this with the teacher! Embarrassing a child is not the way to get the desired response.

NOTE: DO NOT do what some of the others are saying. Being obnoxious and making rude comments will NOT be in your favor. Telling your teacher to "chill" and "don't have a heart attack" is highly inappropriate. Do things the right way, and be above those nasty retaliations. You don't have to take verbal abuse from your teacher, and you certainly should not give it out.
