You might already know a lot of people in your classes on the first day. But it's a great day to make a new friend, so try to say hello to kids you know and new ones that you don't. Make the first move and you'll be glad you did and so will your new friend!
Moving to Middle School?
Sixth grade often signals a move to middle school or junior high, where you'll find lockers and maybe a homeroom. This is just what it sounds like - a classroom you'll go to each morning, kind of like your home in the school. In middle school, you might move from classroom to classroom for each subject. Your teachers know that this is a big change from elementary school and will help you adjust.
Most teachers let you pick your own seat on the first day, but by the second or third morning, they'll have mapped out a seating plan. It's a good idea to write down where your seat is in your notebook so you don't forget.

Join cheerleading and other sports activities. Begin by signing up to volunteer at school functions so you are not seen as an outsider or on the outside looking in. Throw a party with supervisors at your house or attend other parties.

It's tough for you to imagine that school isn't your life, because basically it is for you right now, but there's a lot more out there to strive for than just being the popular kid.
The one nugget of wisdom I wish I could go back and give myself during those years is that most kids are too busy being insecure about themselves to really pay much attention or care to what you're going through.
So don't worry about what everyone else thinks about you because chances are, they aren't thinking about you that much.
Good luck.
I can almost relate to that I have been a new student 5 times in elementary school, but not every year.
You must feel very nervous right now, right?
Well I suggest you to do is just be yourself and don't sit by yourself. it may take a few days or seconds so be ready. Talk to them , don't stay quite.
Okay I hope that helps you.
also after school activies, if it is avaible for your grade, '
good luck!
Get to know more about the school, your class and classmates. Chat to ur classmates and maybe you'll be friends. Just don't make a fool of yourself. Be alert the first few weeks. The most important thing is to settle in and have fun!
