Should my dad call tommorow and see whats up?
Do you think they would let me go pick up my schedule and have my brother show me around (since hes a senior there.) lol.
Answers:
Orientation isn't something that you -need- to go to, necessarrily. While I think it's a fantastic idea, if everyone went to it, we'd live in some kind of creepy, perfect world.
If you don't have your schedule, your parents or you just need to call the school and ask them when you can come pick it up. Part of your school's job is to work with it's students and their parents.
Not getting a letter about this isn't good though. :( Your school needs to send stuff like that out. Nothing you can really do about it now, though. Just try to get your schedule as soon as you can!
And, you'll probably adjust to school within the first 3-4 days anyways. :) If not that, the second week of school will be just fine. Depending on how big your school is, of course. I'm sure that if you really wanted your brother to show you around, your school would let you.
Good luck!
Since you sayd your brother was a senior there, im sure he could get you well acquainted. Don't worry about orientations, its a treasure hunt to find out when it begins, and its almost a complete waste of time when you get there. Its more for kids and parents who don't know jack about high school. You must know somethin since you have an older sibling. As for when you have your first day at school (word of the wise, i graduated last year) don't be shy, and try to make a lot of friends. Be outgoing, shy kids tend to be by themselves, have no partners in class, sit alone at lunch, etc. Ive seen in happen, be funny and outgoing and youll have a hell of a time dude.
