Who said B there or B square?

Question:Was that from a TV show?

Answers:
TV show Dobbie Gillis - Mainard G Cribs, the beatnic. Who some might recognize as the same actor who played Gilligan in Gilligan's Island. He drew a square, moving just both index fingers, about 6" square as he said it. After that, everyone did it. Looked pretty neat at the time, late 50's.
It might have been John Belushi on Saturday Night Live or in the movie Animal House.
All I remember, is on the Flintstones cartoon as a kid.Fred calling people a square, but drawing it with his fingers.Sorry I don't think that answers your question, but that is what popped into my head when I saw this question...
that term has been around since the 50's
