Honest places in hell are reserved for those in a period of moral crisis maintain their neutrality?

Question:It was said by Dante and i really need a good explanation of this quote

Answers:
In time of great duress, you need to choose a side.

You cannot remain neutral when the world is caving in on themselves.

Failure to get involved and do something (either stop it or help it along) indicates a real failure of moral fiber
It is a bit like those in Germany who ignored the facts that the Jews were disappearing and their belongings were being confiscated. They remained neutral because they did not want to "get involved". When we face a moral crisis and say "It doesn't involve me so I will say nothing," we are doing the same.
In other words, you must stand up for what you believe in or it is the same as being in the wrong.
