How can I be more open in class?

Question:I'm a college student and I've always been the quit one but only too people I don't know. in class and I realy don't like speaking out in class or being called on cause I get soo nervous ! I've always been this way and I don't want too continue to be anymore... In my classes my teachers are asking everyone to speak out loud or read out loud.. guess I'm this way because of my learning disability but I don't want that to hold me back anymore.. I guess you can say I've had some bad exspericenes back then when it comes to reading in class. someone please give me advice thanks.

Answers:
I was once like you, always afraid of being called to speak
before the class. Sometimes, when I am scheduled to report
orally I found excuses not to attend my class. This goes on
and on until I found out that my grades were affected by this
uncontrolled nervousnes. Okay, I eventually finished my
studies and landed a good job, but still speaking before
a group was a waterloo for me. Until my boss referred me
to attend a Dale Carnegie course on personality
development which altered much my fear of facing people.
I was able to gain confidence and now that I am enrolled
in a graduate school, I can report orally without fear and
apprehension. Don't take for granted your inability to
speak in your class, make your move now. There are so
many schools that can help you out.
the best adivce i can give you is dont think about the people. just answer the question as if it was just you and your teacher
i know its hard im similiar to you but it can work

you can also get medicine if its really really bad but i doubt you want to go that route if you dont have to

goodluck
believe in yourself, you can do it !!!!!!
hey I used to be quiet too. And then I just started saying whatever I think I should. Even if it's wrong, it's our right to be wrong! That;s why we are in class, to learn more!
Take it easy and be more confident. Just answer the question and you can't go wrong with at least giving it a try. Don't be afraid of making mistakes or being wrong.
