What do these mean?

Question:i'm confused about these two statements i heard in some songs...
"from the forest itself comes the handle for the axe"
and
"build your life on a river of wax"
can anyone tell me what these mean?

Answers:
awww... LOVE Matisayahu!

Anyway... we cause our own self destruction and have the power to stop and bring light into this world instead of denying what we are here for.

At least when my husband asked Matthew at 770 what it meant... that is what he was told by him.
What kind of music do you listen too?
we do things now that don't affect us at all, but they later turn out to do so.like building a whole 4 some1 else 2 fall into & covering it up until they stand over it and fall, but u end up doing that urself
I take the first to mean that you can create the seeds of your own destruction

A river of wax is easily melted so it may not be wise to do that
#1 handle of an ax is made of wood
wood is from trees
trees are in a forest
#2 wax doesn't sink and it shines
wax floats through a river
as you go through the river of life,
float and shine through as on wax
i don't know the first answer but the second one means to sculpt your life!
