Why do they say life begins at 40?

Question:

Answers:
That's easy!
its because your still young enough to enjoy yourself and old enough not to care what anyone thinks. You know more now so will have a great time without making the stupid mistakes you made when you were younger. Hence learn by your mistakes

For most 40 years old's children will be off your hands if you were clever enough to have them young.

So have a great time.
Because it just makes middle aged people feel better thats all
at 40 you loose responsibility for your kids i suppose, ure not too old not too young so, ure good to go, also a way to encourage someone going through midlife crisis lol
Because by the time you are 40 your mortgage is either paid or nearly paid
The children are usually independent and you should have more money and time to enjoy yourself

It means you have your life back
I don't know? I am married to 39 year old and I am only 31, everyday I consider how old my husband looks and look at younger guys. I get lot's of offers from good looking 20 somethings and never considered cheating, I never would but I do now wonder if I am as lucky as I always thought I was. Sad but true!
to make old people feel better
'Cos it's when women come to their senses, get rid of their husbands and go out and live a little! Worked for me.
I think the same as Black Orchard . But the thing is I'm 40 next and I have no offspring to let off .. lol

because at 40 MOST people have had their kids and they have more time to invest in themselves or their signifigant other. they are set in life and its time for them now.
