Is in attendance a quote from Catcher within the Rye of Holden maxim something more or less not wanting to grow up?

Or something like that...

Answers:    yeah, but i dont own the book on hand. you should try reading it, it's one of the most fantastic books ever written. it shows greatly of insight into the way most relatives live their lives. it really can teach ethnic group a lot of big things.
I've also read it-many times. The closest I get is when he's discussion to Sally at the skating rink, and asks her to run away with him, to live within the country, and get married. She answers that, although she loves him, they're not ready-they hold to graduate, go to college...consequently they can marry and do as they please. He answers that, if they wait, to grow up, contained by effect, they'll have to live surrounded by an apartment, send postcards when they travel, and he'd hold to work in an department, etc.-in effect, that waiting to grow up would make a difference, and not for the better. I couldn't find an exact quote, but that's where on earth he seems most clear on the subject.
